The league’s Department of Player Safety suspended Forsberg three games for “interference” with Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey in Nashville’s 5-2 win Saturday night, saying the late hit was “outside of the allowable window to finish a check.” Vesey’s head hit the ice and he skated off with a bloody mouth. There was no penalty called on the play, and Vesey since was diagnosed with a concussion. During the game, the Rangers tweeted that both Vesey and Marc Staal, who also left the game after being slammed head-first into the boards by Nashville’s Alexei Emelin, would not return due to upper body injuries....
